 Stair Lift Installation
Summit Stairway Lifts are designed for fast, easy installation, which lowers the overall cost of your lift. Many lifts require a two-person team and up to half-a-day to install. A Summit Stair Lift can be installed in less than two hours.
Homecare Suppliers advantage. Customers can install the lifts themselves, or we can identify a qualified stairlift installer in your area to arrange for installation. Homecare Suppliers saves you money by putting you in direct contact with a licensed installer in your area. Many other companies charge several hundred dollars more to the cost of your lift - just to provide this type of service.
The reason the lifts are so easy to install is because we do the hard part at the factory. The carriage is pre-installed on a short section of track. Installation is not much more complex than connecting a length of track, attaching it to the stairs, bolting down the seat, and plugging it in. The installation instructions are clearly illustrated and very detailed, plus expert advice is never more than a phone call a way.

Installation & Service
- Weight – the heaviest component of the lift is 70lbs, allowing for a true one-man installation.
- Installation – if the track is cut prior to going out to the home, this installation can be accomplished easily in 90 minutes. This is done by providing several small, yet important features in the design: Track brackets on the wall side only. A trough extruded in the track for use as a conduit for the call control wires. Footswitch call controls (can be used as a wall mount if desired). These are mounted to the floor at each end of the track. No stripping or connecting of individual wires. Internal wires – including the power cord – are connected via modular plugs. By placing the hardware needed in the proper location prior to shipping, hardware packages are eliminated.
- Flexibility – the unit can be cut down in length, track can be swapped between units, or it can be reversed in the field without cutting any wires or using any additional components. It is ideal for renting.
- Seviceability – the electrical components are easy to reach for testing when service is needed. Harnesses can be unplugged to perform voltage checks. The limit switches are larger and more durable than other lifts to assure long life.
- Spare parts – a large number of the components are off the shelf items available at OEM stores around the country. This allows for immediate access to parts needed if service is required.
